AlanZQ takes the Vancouver Regional Qualifier with Diana
AlanZQ wins the Vancouver Regional Qualifier with Diana, Scorn of the Moon, becoming Riftbound's first two-time Western Regional Qualifier champion.
The Vancouver Regional Qualifier ended with AlanZQ (@AlanzqTFT) winning Canada's first Riftbound RQ, taking down samdsherman's Rengar 2-1 in the final with Diana, Scorn of the Moon.
It was a big stage to win on: roughly 1,800 players turned up for the Unleashed-format event, and Diana wasn't even the popular pick going in. Irelia led the field at 8.7%, ahead of LeBlanc at 6.8% and Diana at 6.3%. Diana and Irelia were the only Legends to land more than one copy in the Top 8.
That result stands out because it caps an undefeated swiss run (reported at 15-0-2) and makes AlanZQ the first Western two-time Regional Qualifier champion, according to Riftbound Report. He had already shown Diana's pedigree with a Top 8 finish at the Sydney RQ, so this is less a breakout than a player doubling down on a deck he clearly trusts.
Irelia may have been the more popular choice, but Vancouver showed Diana, Scorn of the Moon is the deck to beat when the bracket tightens up.
