Blue/Green Still Leads Japan's Gundam Store Meta

Blue/Green remains Japan's most-played store-qualifier deck, but its lead nearly disappeared this week. It fell 5.2 percentage points to 18.3%, putting Red/White just 0.8 points behind and Blue/White 1.3 points back. Blue/Purple made the biggest gain, climbing 2.5 points to 14.8%. This snapshot combines the Newtype Challenge 2026 Mission 4 and Serial Card Challenge events held September 7–13, from Bandai's weekly usage chart (@GUNDAM_GCG_JP).

This is Japan store-qualifier usage share, not a global metagame snapshot or a win rate. Bandai does not publish a sample size.

Blue/Green is still on top, but the field behind it is closing in: the top five pairings are separated by just 3.5 points. Red/White and Blue/White each gained more than a point, while Blue/Purple rose to 14.8% and Green/Purple continued its climb to 15.6%. Across the four Blue pairings in the standings, combined share slipped from 61.8% to 59.2%, suggesting this is more than players simply switching to a different Blue partner.
