Bolha Wins Shadowverse Open Trio Tournament

The Shadowverse Open Trio Tournament wrapped up this weekend, giving the game one last major event before Chronicle of Destiny (in a few hours!) arrives and the format changes again.

This one was a little different from the usual events. Instead of a single-player bracket, teams brought groups of three, with each player on a different deck. A nice twist we'd like to see again.

Bolha took the event, beating 3MT in the grand finals 3-2. Their winning lineup was Portalcraft / Swordcraft / Abysscraft, played by Musketeer, Danielolus, and PekoyamaPeko.

3MT answered with Portalcraft / Abysscraft / Havencraft, represented by Jesh, EMT Dayy, and EMT Shadox. In case the name "EMT" sounds familiar, that's because EMT Avery won the recent SEAO Finals.

The final bracket was close all the way through. 3MT beat Castromellia 3-2 in the first semifinal, while Bolha beat Os Bonecos 3-2 in the second. Os Bonecos later took third place over Castromellia, also by a 3-2 score.

With the new set about to arrive, this was a fun final snapshot of the current format. Portalcraft and Abysscraft were still heavily represented at the top, but the team format gave the event a very different feel from the usual BO3 or single-player tournaments.
