Card Spotlight: Gaplant TR-5 “Hrairoo” Unit 1 from the Upcoming EB01 Set

Gundam Card Game’s Eternal Nexus reveals keep rolling in, and Gaplant TR-5 “Hrairoo” Unit 1 is exactly the kind of simple card that can end up mattering more than it looks.

The card is a Lv.3 / Cost 2 / 3-3 White Unit with Blocker. Cheap blockers are easy to like because they buy time, protect key pieces, and force aggressive decks to work harder for damage. It also has the G Generation trait, which matters for the set’s growing package.

The community reaction has been pretty immediate too. A lot of players are comparing it to Rick Dias, with comments calling it “Rick Dias the Second”. We think so too. The fact a low-cost blocker can quietly become one of the most annoying cards on the board is part of its appeal.

Gaplant TR-5 probably is not a flashy set-defining reveal by itself, but cards like this are often what make an archetype feel playable. If G Generation decks need early defense, this looks like one of the first cards they will try.
