Cerys Jones wins Indianapolis with Alakazam / Dudunsparce, defeating Rahul Teddy’s Crustle / Kangaskhan.

Indianapolis ended with a nice little twist. After Dragapult ex / Dudunsparce led the early field by a mile, Cerys Jones took the Regional title with Alakazam / Dudunsparce, beating Rahul Teddy and Crustle / Kangaskhan in the final.

Cerys is no stranger to deep runs, either. Their records show string of big finishes already, including 4th at LAIC 2023-24, 10th at NAIC 2024, 4th at Atlanta Regionals 2025, and back-to-back 3rd-place finishes at Toronto and Orlando in 2026. So this win feels less like a surprise breakout and more like a proven player finally converting another strong run into the trophy.
What makes it stand out is the deck choice. Indianapolis started with Dragapult everywhere (as the past tournaments), but the title still went to a very different list. That makes the result feel even more fun: the best deck was heavily played, but it was not the one that closed the event.
