Chronicle of Destiny Week 1 CR Rankings: Dragoncraft Peaks, Swordcraft Leads on Average

Shadowverse’s Chronicle of Destiny’s first half of the season started last week, resetting every class’s Class Rating (CR) and sending everyone back to the bottom of the Grand Master climb (you're already GM, aren't you?). Our first check-in of the new season shows Dragoncraft leading the CR rankings, with the highest recorded CR at 1983. Portalcraft follows at 1973, while Forestcraft and Swordcraft are tied at 1970.

Looking beyond the top number, Swordcraft has the the highest overall CR so far. Its top 10 averages 1940.7 CR, ahead of Dragoncraft (1937.2) and Portalcraft (1922.8). The rest of the field follows closely: Forestcraft (1921.2), Runecraft (1912.2), Havencraft (1902.8), and Abysscraft (1895.0).

To compare this, last season Portal finished as the most consistent class, averaging 2205.8 CR across its top 10 players. Today, Sword and Dragon lead, while Portal is third.

The spread between each class’s #1 and #10 player tells another story. Sword has the tightest range at 61 points (1970–1909), suggesting a somehow even distribution of top players. Portal has the widest spread at 75 points (1973–1898), indicating that its highest-ranked player is quite ahead of the rest of the class.

This is the first capture of the season, so there are no week-over-week trends yet. We'll look at those next week. For now, Swordcraft looks like the deepest ladder class, while Dragoncraft sits at the very top (I mean, Ramp Dragon is everywhere). Portalcraft, my favorite class, continues to show it has players capable of reaching the very top.
