Pokémon Reveals Delta Reign and Pocket’s Ruler of the Skies
Mega Rayquaza takes flight as Pokémon reveals Delta Reign for the physical TCG and Ruler of the Skies for Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Pokémon has given us an early look at two upcoming expansions in one shared reveal, and both are bringing Rayquaza back into the spotlight.
For the physical Pokémon TCG, Mega Evolution—Delta Reign releases on November 6. Very few details were shared, but the teaser features Mega Rayquaza, making it a likely centerpiece of the set. The “Delta” name is also a fun nod for anyone who played Pokémon Legends: Z-A, where making a Delta Old-Fashioned Donut is somehow part of gaining access to Rayquaza. What a sentence...
Pokémon TCG Pocket is getting Ruler of the Skies in late July. Interestingly, Pokémon called it the “set after next,” meaning another expansion is still scheduled for June and will be fully revealed first.
Ruler of the Skies also features Rayquaza, although the teaser stops short of showing any cards or explaining how the set will play. Judging by the shared presentation and artwork, however, Mega Rayquaza appears ready to headline both games over the coming months.
We still have plenty to learn about both expansions, but announcing a physical and Pocket set together was a nice surprise, especially with such a popular Pokémon leading the reveal.
