Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond Nerfs Eld Crystals and Buffs Swordcraft and Portalcraft

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond is getting seven card adjustments alongside Battle Pass Season 16, a new Dungeon Crawl, Cosmetic Pursuit, and several shop updates on September 29.

The only direct nerf targets Bewitching Eld Crystals. Its cost will rise from 3 to 4, while its Enhance cost moves from 5 to 6. Players who own the card will receive additional vials for up to three eligible copies, with compensation available through the maintenance at the end of October.

Swordcraft gets three buffs

Swordcraft receives several upgrades aimed at its Golden Knight and Pirate strategies.

  • Golden Knight, True King’s Blade: Cost reduced from 7 to 6 and Enhance reduced from 9 to 8.
  • Whirlpool Gunner: Stats increased from 3/1 to 4/2.
  • Open-Sea Scout: Defense increased from 1 to 2.

Golden Knight arriving one turn earlier is the largest of the three changes, but the extra durability on Gunner and Scout should also make Pirate deck's early boards harder to clear efficiently.

Cutthroat Portalcraft gets reworked

Three Portal cards are getting major changes:

  • Cutthroat, Fluxblade Convict: Cost reduced from 2 to 1, with its stats changing from 2/2 to 1/1. Its Evolve effect will now draw a Portalcraft follower with Bane instead of removing every other Cutthroat from the deck. It still grants its crest when the deck contains no duplicate cards.
  • Soulforge: Cost reduced from 4 to 3.
  • Disgraceful Banishment: After discarding a card, it will now draw a Portalcraft follower with Bane. If the deck has no duplicates, it will then draw two additional cards.

The new archetype hasn't seen that much success since it was introduced in the newest set, so these changes are more than welcome.

Cosmetic Pursuit introduces another reward track

The update also introduces Cosmetic Pursuit, a new reward track built around accumulating miles. Players will collect rewards as their total increases, with a special card style featuring Eudie, Your Dependable Mentor, waiting at the end. How much will it cost? We'll see in two days.

The limited Revenants of Azvaldt 10-pack bundles will include Cosmetic Pursuit miles alongside the card packs. Up to five bundles can be purchased, with cumulative bonuses including a Sephie emblem, a common orb, Sephie sleeves, a premium orb, and premium material.

Battle Pass Season 16 and Dungeon Crawl arrive

Battle Pass Season 16 will include card pack tickets for the next set. Players who upgrade to the Premium Pass can also unlock Burnite as a Dragoncraft leader. Alongside it, another Dungeon Crawl will open after maintenance, bringing back the solo mode built around consecutive battles, special boons, and Dungeon Coins (that reminds me I need to finish mine).

Several older rewards are also returning to the shop, including the Vehariya leader skin, the Scripture of Salvation card style, Siim and Kandima sleeves, and an emblem.

The update is scheduled for September 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. JST. All balance changes and new content will become available after maintenance.
