Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond's First Half of the Season Ends With Runecraft at the Top

Runecraft ends the first half of Chronicle of Destiny as the highest-rated class in Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. Its top 10 players averaged 2242.5 Class Rating on July 28, a full 42 points ahead of second-place Portalcraft, and Runecraft also had the biggest weekly jump at +119.5.

That makes Runecraft the cleanest winner of the first half by Class Rating. Every class climbed during the final week, which is normal when the half is about to close and players are pushing their last games, but the gains were not even. Runecraft, Dragoncraft, and Swordcraft all made bigger moves than Forestcraft and Havencraft, while Abysscraft stayed in last despite a modest gain.

The wider ladder picture still has room for Portalcraft, though. In 5+ win lists shared on Shadowverse Wins from July 25 to July 28, Portalcraft was the most common class by a large margin, taking 9 of the 20 lists in the sample. The same Artifact Portal shell kept showing up around cards like Sincerity of the Dewdrop, Eudie, Imari Dewdrop, Freerunning, and Asher & Lydia.

The two snapshots are measuring different things, so they should not be mashed into one ranking. Class Rating shows which classes had the strongest top-end players at the end of the half. Shadowverse Wins shows which decks players were sharing after long streaks. Together, they give the first half a pretty clear shape: Runecraft won the rating race, but Portalcraft was still the deck players kept posting with wins.

The smaller movements are useful too. Forestcraft's earlier spike did not hold, falling to just one shared win-streak list this time. Abysscraft moved in the other direction, rising to four lists behind a Raz, Demon on the Drums core, even though its Class Rating average stayed last. Swordcraft also had one huge rating outlier at 2227, but the rest of its top 10 sat much lower, so it looks more like one standout player than a full class surge.

With the first half closing on July 28 and ratings resetting for the second half, the takeaway is simple: Runecraft finished first, Portalcraft remains the ladder deck to beat, and Abysscraft is the one to watch if its win-streak gains start turning into higher Class Rating numbers.
