What Is the Shadowverse Online Championship?

Shadowverse Online Championship is the official online tournament series for Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. It gives players a free route from ranked play into a serious multi-day event, with places in the World Grand Prix and other major competitions on the line.

The November 2026 tournament runs on November 7 and November 15, with Day 2 preliminaries and finals on the second date. Everything is played online, but the event follows a proper tournament structure: players register their decks in advance, play Swiss rounds to qualify, and then move into a single-elimination playoff.

Who can enter?

Players living in Japan must be at least 13 years old when the tournament begins. Players living outside Japan must be at least 20. Competitors between 13 and 17 must also submit a parental consent form when they register.

There is no entry fee. To register, join the official tournament Discord, download the Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond Tournament Navigator, link the app to your Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond account, and enter the November event through the app. For the November tournament, registration runs until November 1 at 11:59 p.m. JST.

How the tournament works

The November OCS uses Rotation and asks players to bring two decks. The preliminaries use best-of-one matches, while the finals use best-of-three.

Day 1

Day 1 is a 10-round Swiss tournament. Players who finish with at least eight wins and two losses advance to Day 2. The number of rounds and the exact advancement line may change if attendance changes, so check the official rules before playing.

Day 2

Day 2 is another Swiss stage, this time scheduled for seven rounds. A 6-1 record advances a player to the finals.

Finals

The finals are a five-round, single-elimination bracket using best-of-three matches. This is where the online event turns into a direct race for the biggest prizes and qualifications.

What is at stake?

Every Day 1 participant receives an original in-game emblem, while Day 2 players receive an additional Common Orb after the tournament. Reaching the finals pays out ¥35,000, and reaching the second round of the finals pays ¥70,000.

The champion qualifies for Day 1 of the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2026, earns a place in a 2027 event, and qualifies for Shadowverse BO3 Showdown Vol. 4 with byes for its first two rounds. The runner-up also reaches the World Grand Prix and BO3 Showdown, with a first-round bye.

Players who reach the later stages of the finals also earn places or seeded positions in the Shadowverse Japan Wildcard Qualifier. For players outside Japan, those Japan qualifications convert into qualification and seeding for the relevant overseas event when the 2027 schedule is announced.

The Online Championship is therefore more than a large ladder tournament. It is a free, official route into Shadowverse's top-level competition, and the November event is the last OCS stop currently listed for 2026.
