Shadawx wins the Oakville Lorcana CCQ with Amber/Emerald

Shadawx won the Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier in Oakville with an Amber/Emerald deck. The Enter the Battlefield event ran May 30-31 at the Holiday Inn Oakville Centre and drew a reported 212 players in Infinity Constructed.

That result stands out because the field was still shaped by Amber/Steel Steelsong, the deck to beat at roughly 19% of the Infinity metagame, with Amethyst/Ruby Bounce and Ruby/Sapphire Items the next most common shells. Amber/Emerald was a smaller slice of the format going in, which makes a win at an event this size the bigger story.

CCQs are the qualifying layer for Lorcana's Championship circuit, so a title here reportedly comes with a Continentals invite alongside the cash and promos, raising the stakes beyond a normal weekend.
