Weekend Recap: Slowking Wins Gdańsk, Strike Freedom Takes DC

Aarni Karjala won the 2027 Gdańsk Regional Championships with Slowking, going 14-1-2 in a 1,738-player Masters field.

Dragapult was the deck to beat. Its main list was the most-played deck in Gdańsk at 20.5% of the field, and it took four of the eight Top 8 spots. Slowking was a smaller pick at 88 players, but it put two players in the Top 16 and took the title. Finn Lasse Fries finished second with Rocket's Honchkrow, a deck only 25 players brought.

In Gundam, shugaQb won the WCS 26-27 Washington DC Regional with Strike Freedom Gundam out of 512 players. Strike Freedom took five of the top eight spots, including finalist Terry, whose version adds Victory Gundam. Shining Gundam and Nu Gundam were the only other decks in the Top 8.

Shadowverse Premier Series Round 10 also wrapped up on November 1. DetonatioN FocusMe, MURASH GAMING and Crazy Raccoon each won their matches 3-2, and VARREL beat REJECT 3-1.

Dragapult brought the numbers in Gdańsk, but Slowking left with the trophy. In Gundam, Strike Freedom is still the deck to beat.
